MPAC’s 12th Annual Spring Production: Frozen

Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature film, Disney’s Frozen includes all the film’s beloved songs by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, along with new music written exclusively for the stage. Full of magic, humor, and a stunning musical score, Frozen is a powerful tale of sisterhood, acceptance, and finding the real meaning of true love.

Audition Information

MPAC is seeking PERFORMERS AGES 14 - 25, for Principal roles and Ensemble, and PERFORMERS WHO LOOK AGES 8 -11, for the roles of Young Anna and Young Elsa, to perform in our 12th annual FULLY PRODUCED MUSICAL in the beautiful 1300 seat, state of the art MPAC theatre

AUDITION DATES:

Sunday, February 1st – 1:00 – 3:00
Young Anna & Young Elsa auditions – must look and be able to play ages 8 – 11

Monday, February 2nd – 4:00 – 6:00
Young Anna & Young Elsa auditions – must look and be able to play ages 8 – 11

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

For ages 14 – 25, we’re looking for a diverse group of  triple threat, hard working, dedicated performers for Principal roles and Ensemble.

For Young Anna & Young Elsa – we are seeking experienced performers with strong acting and singing ability.  (See character breakdown for details)

WHAT TO PREPARE

Please prepare one minute of a musical theatre song in the style of the show that can be fully in-terpreted with strong acting choices. Make sure the song shows vocal range and style. Must bring sheet music in the correct key.

WHAT TO BRING

Please bring sheet music in the appropriate key, hole punched, double sided and in a binder for the accompanist. All lyrics must be memorized. If you do not have sheet music, you can purchase music online at www.musicnotes.com or www.sheetmusicplus.com. ABSOLUTELY NO A CAPELLA SINGING. **If you have an audition book, please bring it in case you’re asked for another selection.   If you have one, please bring a copy of your headshot/picture and resume.

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE

Sunday afternoon or evenings, Monday evenings, Thursday evenings and some Wednesday evenings.  (Subject to change). Rehearsal schedules will be given out weekly and not everyone will be needed at every rehearsal.  All cast members must be available every night from May 17th – May 29th for tech rehearsals.  Please note we will be rehearsing Memorial Day weekend.
