Grants for General Operating and Arts Education:
The Theatre submits proposals to Corporate, Independent and Family Foundations requesting grants to help support our General Operating Budget and/or General Education Budget that supports all of our education programs. Some grants also provide support for specific education programs. Providing a grant is very rewarding because it helps the Theatre to inspire the imagination of over 35,000 children through its school-time educational performances, and bringing arts education and the arts experience to local schools and non-profits, such as the Morris School District, The Neighborhood House and Children on the Green. Starlight Room and Facility Rentals:
The Starlight Room is a perfect space for private receptions, pre- or post-show parties, conferences, and presentations that can accommodate up to 300 people. For a larger function, The Community Theatre auditorium seats 1,300 people and offers a unique environment for your special corporate event or presentation. The newly-renovated Balcony Lobby is an intimate setting that accommodates up to 75 people for a private reception and pre- or post-show parties. More Info

Setting the Stage Capital Campaign In May 2010, the Theatre announced the successful completion of its 4-year $7.2 million Setting the Stage Capital Campaign - an effort that funded the essential renovation and expansion of the arts facility from a community theatre into a state-of-the-art performing arts center. FUNDRAISING & SPECIAL EVENTS Starlight Ball:
The Starlight Ball is the Theatre’s single largest fundraising event that helps us to fulfill our mission to bring the arts and arts education to this region throughout the year. Our supporters join us for an evening of elegance and entertainment featuring an auction, wine pull and dancing. The event raises over $250,000 through underwriting, corporate sponsorship, individual ticket sales and proceeds from live and silent auctions. Benefits focus on promotional opportunities, with some event tickets at the higher levels. More Info
Every year, the Theatre offers a raffle to win tickets to performances of the upcoming season to raise funds to support its mission. Tickets are $20 each and go on sale at the beginning of the Theatre season in the fall. You can purchase tickets by mail, at the Theatre, or by phone. The winning ticket is drawn at the end of the season in June of the following year.
During the holiday period from Thanksgiving to the New Year, people often consider making charitable donations to their favorite non-profit organization. It’s the time of giving. We send out a letter in early November to request support for the Mayo Performing Arts Center’s mission and its arts education programs. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a donation that is fully tax deductible as allowed by law.
