SPRING 2019

Our Performing Arts School (PAS), founded in 2006, now serves over 600 students per year with over 20 classes a week within a supportive and creative atmosphere.

Students ages five – adult come from all over Northern New Jersey to learn performance technique while building confidence and having a great time!

Classes are offered in Musical Theatre, Acting, Singing Technique, Song Presentation, Improvisation, Private Voice and Adult Cabaret. We are also pleased to offer The Miracle Project, a fully inclusive music and theatre program for children with autism.

Spring 2019 Performing Arts School Registration will open on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 26th at 2PM.

Please note: specific class dates will be outlined in your class Welcome Letter.

Registration Policies

Registration will begin immediately and will be processed on a first come, first served basis. All classes must be paid for in full at the time of registration unless other arrangements have been made.

Limited scholarships available based on need. Please visit the website for a scholarship application.

No refunds will be given after the first week of classes has begun. A pro-rated tuition credit may be given if a student leaves a class no more than two weeks into the program. All tuition payments include a non-refundable $50 processing and registration fee.

Broadway Kids: Ages 5-6

A fun introduction to musical theatre! Work on basic singing skills, movement, stage presence, and acting while working toward an end of semester performance.

Young performers work on singing, dancing, and acting skills while working toward an end of semester performance.

Musical Theatre Workshop Junior: Ages 9-12

Musical Theatre technique for the young triple-threat performer! Students sharpen performance skills while working on solos, group numbers, and scenes from classic musicals.

Teen Musical Theatre Workshop: Ages 12-18

Musical Theatre workshop for the serious performer. Class focuses on song performance, scene study, and sharpening dance skills while working on solos, duets, and scenes from Broadway musicals.

Broadway Kids: Saturday: Ages 7-10

Have fun while working on musical theatre performance skills.  This expanded workshop will include classes and workshops in singing, dancing, and acting while rehearsing for a polished end of semester performance!

Saturday Musical Theatre Workshop: Ages 10-15

This exciting program covers many aspects of musical theatre performance while working toward a polished production. Students learn singing skills and song performance, acting, musical theatre dance, and much more. Learn from professional artists in an exciting and creative environment. Guests include Broadway performers and industry professionals!

Saturday Musical Theatre Workshop Advanced: Ages 13-18

Registration by permission or audition only. This program is meant for students who have been in the Saturday program for three or more semesters or who have similar professional level experience. Students will perfect their individual and ensemble performance skills using advanced material and curriculum in a conservatory style set-up. Acting Kids: Ages 6-8

Have fun learning the fundamentals of acting. Gain stage presence and basic acting technique through theatre games, improvisation, and scenes.

Acting technique for the young performer. Work on acting skills, stage presence, character development, and improvisation in a fun and creative atmosphere.

This exciting workshop for teens will give young actors a strong foundation while working on technique, improvisation, scenes and monologues. Work toward an end of semester performance.

Group Pop/Broadway Vocal Workshop: Ages 11-18

Do you want to sing like they do on The Voice and American Idol? Then this class is for you. Work with professional vocal coaches on technique, song performance, harmony, and ear training. Class will work toward an end of semester cabaret style performance featuring solos and group numbers.

Group Pop/Broadway Vocal Workshop Advanced: Ages 13-18

Registration by audition or permission only. This program is meant for students who have been in the Group Pop/Broadway class for three or more semesters or who have similar professional level experience. Students will perfect their individual and ensemble vocal performance skills using advanced material and curriculum. Work with professional vocal coaches. All students will perform in a cabaret-style showcase.

Miracle Project: Ages 9-15 – Level 1

Act! Sing! Dance! Connect! Using the methodology of “The Miracle Project”

“The Miracle Project” is an original groundbreaking, fully inclusive music, movement and creative drama program featured in the Emmy award winning documentary AUTISM: The Musical.   This creative, dynamic, socialization program enables children and teens with autism spectrum disorders and other special needs to express themselves through music, dance, acting, story and writing.   ALL children of ALL abilities grow in skills, spirit and work with highly talented staff while creating and performing musicals.

Level 1 – Students requiring more support.

Voice Studio Private Lessons

Lessons Private and semi-private lessons are available for 30 or 60 minutes Strengthen vocal technique, expand your repertoire, and work on material selected specifically for you! (Registration priority, is given to students enrolled in MPAC classes or programs.)

Voice lessons are scheduled from 3:30PM – 8:00PM.

Cabaret Workshop for Adults: Ages 18+

Have you always wanted to sing in front of an audience? We are pleased to offer this workshop under the direction of two NYC cabaret professionals! Each 8 week session culminates in a Starlight Room cabaret performance on the last week. For the beginner through accomplished performer.
