This includes tours of Australia, Africa, Canada, China, Europe, Russia and surrounding countries. Legends gained international popularity when it became the first Las Vegas show to tour the Russian cities of Moscow, St. Petersburg and Riga in 1991. It since has gone on to perform in fifteen countries on five continents including throughout the United States. The show and its principal cast members have also been seen by over 100 million people on such major television networks as Fox, ABC, BBC, MTV, and many syndicated network tv shows.

“It’s not just the stunningly similar appearances to the superstars; it’s also the pitch-perfect live vocals and signature choreography that make up the complete winning package.” – Robin Leach

Many other tribute shows have come and gone, but Legends in Concert has withstood the test of time: “It’s the Best.” (The Press of Atlantic City)

DOLLY PARTON

Performed by Karen Hester

Karen Hester, performing as Dolly Parton on the Legends stage, has a truly magnificent stage presence. On her way to becoming one of Legends’ best Dolly tribute artists; she has impressed crowds country-wide, time and time again.

Coming from a family of musical people where everyone either picked up an instrument or sang along to the tune of the hour, the stage is as close to her heart as her son. She started by singing at family reunions, gospel quartets and trios, and then started venturing into theatrical productions and country music. Drawing inspiration from Madonna, Cindy Lauper, Martina McBride and Dolly Parton, as Karen grew, so did her passion for music and performance.

Now, she’s been cast in regional and national commercials, acted in the Murder Mystery Dinner Theater shows at the House of Blues, featured in “The Dean Martin Show” at the Palace Theatre, and performed as an impersonator for “Dino’s TV Variety Show”. She was in the off-Broadway hit “The Marvelous Wonderettes”, and was the understudy for both female roles in “Golf: The Musical”. Not to mention, she has been the opening act for recording artists such as Trace Adkins and Ricky Van Shleton.

Harnessing this wide array of professional experience, and topping it off with outstanding costumes, wigs and makeup, Karen brings her Dolly Parton act to life for Legends in Concert. Come hear her sing Dolly’s best, and prepare to be impressed.

KENNY ROGERS

Performed by Mark Hinds

Mark Hinds has been performing a Tribute to Kenny Rogers for the past 20 years.

It all started in Gaylord Michigan in 1979 when given the opportunity to perform as Kenny Rogers at a ski resort would change his life forever. Mark has performed at numerous Moose, Elk and Eagles Lodges perfecting his act and gained much notoriety as the only Kenny Rogers tribute artist in the country.

Since joining Legends in Concert in 1981 Mark has traveled all over the world amazing audiences with his impression of the famed country singer. Mark has been on stage twice with Kenny including a gig at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville where he was a part of Charlie Chases’ Funny Business Show and was asked to embarrass Kenny on national T.V. It was highly successful as 4500 Rogers’ fans were stunned to see two of their favorite entertainers standing together side by side singing one of Kenny’s biggest hits “The Gambler.”

NEIL DIAMOND

Performed by Rob Garrett

Rob first saw Neil Diamond when he made his Las Vegas debut opening the “Theater for the Performing Arts” at the Aladdin Hotel and Casino in 1976.   Garrett said, “He held the audience, including myself, spellbound and broke all existing Las Vegas concert records at that time. I had been a fan since 1969 and I’d always thought that he had written some of the most poignant lyrics I’d ever heard. I felt that he had a way of expressing his lyrics and music in a way that no other singer/songwriter had done so before or since”.

“Rock ‘n’ Roll Heaven” covered a very wide spectrum of music and, “I did some singing impressions and would always get the strongest response when I performed my “Neil” imitation”.

In 1995 Garrett was personally hired by Paul Revere (of ‘The Raiders”) to portray Neil Diamond in the biggest and most popular “impersonation” type show in the world, “Legends In Concert“. The venue was Honolulu, Hawaii, and the show is that city’ s largest and best theatrical show. What was to be a two-month “trial” engagement for Rob ended up being “indefinite”.

“Neil’s a phenomenon as witnessed by any of his recent sold out concerts. Anytime he decides to hit the tour circuit he breaks attendance records and always ends up as one of the top 5 money grossing concert attractions of the year. He has become this polished consummate performer who doesn’t rely on big production and choreography to make his show work. He’s the last of the breed that I refer to as minstrels, the performers who get on the stage for 2 hours plus with just their guitars and backup band and can still bring an audience to it’s knees. He’s still got it, but unfortunately it seems as if he’s touring less often these days and when he does tour it’s in select places and always sold out way in advance. A lot of people who would like – never get the chance to see him perform. I love the challenge of re-creating the performances of this great musical legend who I hope still has many years of performances left in him.”

In August of 1998 Rob decided to return home to Las Vegas where he continues to perform as Neil Diamond. Currently he is co-producing (with “Legends” founder John Stuart) and directing his first “Legends In Concert” show which will be opening in Brazil, the first production of it’s kind to reach South America.
