Free Summer Event: Country Line Dancing with Paul Stoddard

A li’l bit of Nashville comes to Morristown! Put on your cowboy boots for a honky-tonk evening of country line dancing with DJ and dance instructor Paul Stoddard, who will have you swinging to the sounds of classic and contemporary country music whether you’re an experienced line dancer or novice!

Paul Stoddard is a respected figure in the country dance community, known both as an accomplished instructor and an in-demand DJ. With over 30 years of experience teaching country line and partner dance, Paul has guided more than 10,000 students, from first-timers to competitive dancers, with a teaching style that’s clear, professional, and fun.

In 2021, Paul brought his passion for music to the DJ booth—delivering high-energy sets that blend modern country hits with classic favorites. His deep understanding of music flow, dancer timing, and floor dynamics—sharpened through decades of instruction—makes his DJ sets uniquely responsive and crowd-pleasing.

Whether teaching or spinning, Paul creates an atmosphere that’s welcoming, polished, and tuned to the needs of the room. His professionalism, attention to detail, and love for the dance floor come through in every event.

Paul is also one of the directors of the annual Big Apple Country Dance Festival held July 10–13, 2025 at the Hyatt Regency in Morristown—New Jersey’s ultimate dance weekend featuring country partner dancing, line dance and west coast swing, packed with lessons, competitions, social dancing and an electrifying show extravaganza.
