The Event Experience:
- This in-person event will feature a visual presentation and live drawing session featuring author and illustrator Dav Pilkey! Plus trivia with special prizes! The program will run approximately 30 minutes long, followed by a photo opportunity with Dav Pilkey.
- In addition to the above, there will be EPIC activities including a photo opportunity with the Dog Man and Captain Underpants costume characters, exclusive giveaways, and more!
- Attendees are encouraged to POWER UP and dress up as Dog Man, Captain Underpants, Cat Kid, or your favorite Dav Pilkey book character!
About the Event:
- Each ticket costs $16 (inclusive of all taxes and fees) and includes a pre-signed copy of Dog Man: A Sprinkle in Time by Dav Pilkey — plus a limited edition Dog Man glow-in-the-dark backpack tag!
- Your pre-signed copy of Dog Man: A Sprinkle in Time with glow-in-the-dark backpack tag will be available for pick-up as you enter the event.
- Inspired by one of the themes in Dav Pilkey’s books about the importance of doing good, if you wish to give away any of your extra signed books, we are happy to donate it on your behalf to our partner organization, JFS of Metrowest.
HELPFUL TIPS/NOTES/GUIDELINES:
- For guidelines, please check with the bookstore/event host. Due to the number of people waiting in line for the photo opportunity with Dav Pilkey, it is very much appreciated that these guidelines are followed.
- You will receive a colored wristband upon entry which will designate your group for the author photo-op session. There will be one photo per family. All photos will be taken by a professional photographer, and photos will be available via QR code for free download after the event.

By attending the event, patrons agree that if you are filmed, photographed, or otherwise recorded, you consent to Scholastic using your image and voice for any and all purposes without compensation or further notice.

About Dav Pilkey
Dav Pilkey has created over 75 books for children and was awarded a Caldecott Honor for his picture book The Paperboy. When Dav Pilkey was in second grade, he was diagnosed with dyslexia and what is now widely known as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
