From December 12 – 27, New Jersey Ballet’s beloved production of The Nutcracker returns to MPAC! New Jersey Ballet’s The Nutcracker, set to Tchaikovsky’s iconic score performed live by New Jersey Symphony, is the longest running original professional production in the state. Many in the audience who saw the production as children now bring their own children and grandchildren to this cherished holiday experience for the whole family. When the curtain rises, audiences can expect brilliant dancing and glorious costumes, with plenty of thrilling magic and festive cheer to enchant youngsters and grown-ups alike! Ages 4+.

On January 3, Magic Rocks starring Illusionist Leon Etienne. You’ve seen him on America’s Got Talent, Jimmy Fallon, Masters of Illusion, and Penn & Teller: Fool Us! This family–friendly spectacular starring illusionist Leon Etienne features incredible illusions, award-winning sleight of hand and hilarious comedy. This show is an immersive experience that brings joy, laughter and wonder when the world needs it most!

On February 13th, Cirque Kalabante (Afrique en Cirque) showcases the beauty and artistry of African culture, inspired by daily life in Guinea. A colorful show beyond its scenery, costumes and staging, Cirque Kalabante represents the strength, agility and life’s joys of young Africans as acrobats execute gravity-defying moves to the contemporary sounds of live Afro-Jazz, percussion and kora.

On March 1st, Curious George, the inquisitive monkey of books, movies and the award-winning PBS television show, stars in a brand–new fun-filled musical adventure! On All–You–Can–Eat Meatball Day, George heads to Rome where he enters his friend Chef Pisghetti’s meatballs in the world-famous Golden Meatball Contest, and in the process learns the secret ingredient to cooking!

The 4:30pm performance of Curious George: The Golden Meatball will be a sensory-friendly performance.

To celebrate this incredible 30th year milestone, Riverdance will embark on a special anniversary tour, bringing its magic to audiences around the world. This spectacular production rejuvenates the much-loved original show with new innovative choreography and costumes and state of the art lighting, projection and motion graphics. And for the first time Riverdance welcomes “The New Generation” of performers, all of whom were not born when show began 30 years ago.
