MPAC Announces 2014-2015 20th Anniversary Season

(Morristown) – The Mayo Performing Arts Center features over 100 events, concerts and performances in its 2014-2015 season. Tickets for events go on sale Monday, June 16 at 9 am online and 10 am in person and by phone (973-539-8008).

The season marks MPAC’s 20th anniversary as a performance hall. The season officially kicks off with a concert by Broadway stars Brian Stokes Mitchell (Ragtime, Man of La Mancha) and Kelli O’Hara (Bridges of Madison County, South Pacific).

MPAC celebrates its 20th anniversary with a concert marking the return of Russian conductor Valery Gergiev, and the Mariinsky Orchestra (formerly the Kirov Orchestra), which opened the theatre 20 years prior, on September 29, 1994.

Headline acts include Smokey Robinson, Paul Anka, Bill Cosby, Patti LuPone and Don Rickels.  MPAC’s Broadway lineup features recent hits Sister Act, Nice Work If You Can Get It, Anything Goes and Memphis. Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and Million Dollar Quartet return by popular demand.

Other notable artists include William Shatner in “Shatner’s World: We Just Live in it,” Chazz Palminteri in “A Bronx Tale,” Ira Glass from public radio’s “This American Life,” Herb Alpert and Lani Hall, and Dennis Miller.
