MPAC adds three to Board of Trustees

David Welsh, Todd Anderson and Susan J. Brauer have been selected to join the Board of Trustees of Mayo Performing Arts Center.

“As Mayo Performing Arts Center continues to grow as northern New Jersey’s primary facility for performing arts and arts education, David Welsh, Todd Anderson and Susan Brauer will add valuable expertise and guidance as we plan for the next phase of our program expansion,” Said Joseph M. Goryeb, Chairman of MPAC’s Board of Trustees.

David Welsh is a founder and partner of Normandy Real Estate Partners of Morristown. As one of the nation’s leading real estate private equity firms, Normandy owns and operates one of the largest diversified real estate portfolios in the Northeast/Mid Atlantic region. He also serves as a Trustee of The Peck School in Morristown and Cornerstone Family Programs.  Mr. Welsh was raised in Mendham and lives in Harding Township. “I am truly honored to have been asked to serve as a Trustee on the Board of the Mayo Performing Arts Center,” Welsh said.  “As a lifelong musician and lover of theater and the arts, I am truly looking forward to contributing to the development and growth of this first class performing arts venue.”

Todd Anderson, Principal, Portfolio Manager, Institutional Funds, joined The Hampshire Companies as Senior Investment Manager in late 2005. Mr. Anderson is responsible for originating and structuring acquisitions and joint ventures for Hampshire’s Value-Add Funds platform. Anderson sits on the Board of Managers and Investment Committees for the Hampshire Value-Add Funds, and is a member of the Hampshire Senior Leadership Team. Anderson is also responsible for non-fund-related marketing and branding activities for the company, and oversees all major leasing initiatives. Prior to joining Hampshire, Anderson was a member of CBRE Global Investors Strategic Partners group where he was involved in all asset management activities on the East Coast and Southeast. Anderson holds a B.S. Degree from the University of North Dakota. “As a long-time patron and supporter of MPAC, I am honored to have been asked to serve as a Trustee on their Board,” said Anderson. “As a significant contributor to the economic and educational vitality in our local community and one of New Jersey’s preeminent sources for entertainment, I am looking forward to playing an active role in the continued development and future of MPAC.”

Susan Brauer is a dedicated businesswoman managing automobile dealerships in Morris County for over thirty years. She represents the third generation of the Brauer family in the automotive dealership community in Northern New Jersey. Susan and her brother Jon became Dealer Principals of the Dealerships in 2005 upon the retirement of their father, Arnold Brauer. The Brauer Companies are unfaltering in their support for local communities and community groups ranging from youth sports teams, community events and fundraisers. Arnold Brauer was an active supporter of the Theatre for many years. Susan currently serves on the MPAC Starlight Ball committee, was an early supporter of the Morristown Festival of Books Committee. “I am so honored to be able to serve the Mayo Performing Arts Center as Trustee,” she said. “My father, Arnold Brauer, was an active supporter of the Community Theater during his lifetime. He would be thrilled that the tradition continues and that the Mayo Performing Arts Center remains a vibrant part of the Morristown community.”
