Art Upstairs Gallery
New Jersey Art Association
January 9, 2018 – February 20, 2018
Reception: January 28, 2018
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

The NJ Art Association (originally called the Millburn-Short Hills Art Center), is one of the oldest art associations in New Jersey. It was formed in 1940 as a not for profit organization with simple purposes.

NJ Art Association, as it is now commonly known, encourages art education and appreciation; commends the work of its members and other individuals and arts groups; offers opportunities for growth in the arts and the development of local talent, and sponsors programs by highly qualified presenters for its members and the community.

Find out more information at www.njwcs.org.

About The Art Upstairs Gallery:
The Art Upstairs Gallery, located in the balcony lobby of MPAC, showcases visual artists from a variety of disciplines, including watercolor, oils, photography, sculpture and more. Each year, the works of over 200 artists are showcased in group exhibits. Each exhibit hangs from six to eight weeks. Groups that have been showcased include the Essex Watercolor Club, New Jersey Photography Forum, Millburn-Short Hills Art Center and more.

The gallery provides a unique opportunity to marry the visual and performing arts, and to provide exposure to these artists to an audience that may not normally frequent an art gallery.

Artwork is available for purchase. The Gallery is open two hours prior to showtime and by appointment. For more information, please contact Charles Miller at cmiller1@mayoarts.org.

The Art Upstairs Gallery is a gift of the John and Margaret Post Foundation.

The Starlight Gallery:
Currently exhibiting: Abstracts: Exploring Line Shape and Form, January 3, 2017 – February 2, 2018
More information: https://www.njphotoforum.com/about.html

The show features artists from the Exhibition Committee of the NJ Photography Forum.

Participating artists include: Ruth Brown, John Clarke, Paul Donohoe, Theresa Hood, Charlann Meluso, Charles Miller, Nancy Ori, Mitchell Speert, Heidi Sussman and Russ Wills.

The Starlight Gallery is a gift of Jay and Wendy Birnbaum.
