November Highlights

Nov Monthly Hilights 500 Copy

MPAC’s November events calendar is packed with living legends, from Oscar winner Michael Douglas to music icons Art Garfunkel and Judy Collins to TV and film star Chevy Chase.

The month opens with the next Drew University Forum event when Douglas, an Oscar, Emmy and Golden Globe winner, sits down with TCM host Ben Mankiewicz to discuss his five-decade career, his family’s Hollywood legacy and his work as an activist.

As the nation celebrates its 250th birthday, the music lineup reflects the soundtrack of American life. Don McLean and Lee Greenwood team up to honor the milestone with “American Pie” and “God Bless the U.S.A,” while 10,000 Maniacs and Geoff Tate’s Operation: Mindcrime bring rock favorites to the stage. Paul Anka, Three Dog Night, The Righteous Brothers, Judy Collins and Art Garfunkel return to Morristown to perform their hits that have endured for generations.

Rocky turns 50 with a big-screen presentation of the Sylvester Stallone classic, as a live symphony orchestra performs Bill Conti’s iconic score in perfect sync.

Audiences can share some laughs with Kristin Hensley and Jen Smedley, the best friends and comedians behind internet sensation #IMOMSOHARD. November also sees the return of MPAC’s popular Manhattan Comedy Night, showcasing the rising stars of stand-up.

The holiday season kicks off Thanksgiving weekend with fun for the whole family, including A Charlie Brown Christmas, Mannheim Steamroller, and A Live Conversation with Chevy Chase following a screening of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.
