This season, Mayo Performing Arts Center is bringing movie magic back to Morristown, invoking nostalgia for our origins as The Community Theatre, the crown jewel of Walter Reade’s chain of movie houses during the Golden Age of Hollywood. The fall lineup features beloved films reimagined for MPAC’s role today as the heart of live entertainment in Morris County.
Enjoy the ultimate cinematic experience as the classic films Ghostbusters, Coco and Rocky are shown on the big screen, with a live orchestra performing their iconic scores in perfect sync.
We’re shivering with anticipation for our Halloween showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show featuring the Cosmic Light Cabaret shadowcast, a costume contest and plenty of audience participation.
Finally, we’ll kick off a fun old-fashioned family Christmas by welcoming Chevy Chase, the man behind Clark Griswold, live on stage following a screening of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.
