What do you like most about working at MPAC: 

As a recipient of our Volunteer of the Year Award, Peter’s favorite part of volunteering is “helping the patrons have a good time.” Pete started at MPAC in October 2016. His all-time favorite artist to visit MPAC is David Foster and his dream MPAC performer is Crystal Bowersox.

Sherri has been volunteering at MPAC for over 12 years! In her early years, she was a recipient of the Rookie of the Year award and now she’s a captain volunteer. Her favorite MPAC artist of all-time is the B52s. Sherri says, “It’s such a privilege to be a part of the theater. I’ve enjoyed every moment of it.”

Dawn has been volunteering as an usher at MPAC for the past year and a half. Her favorite MPAC performers are Donny and Marie! Dawn loves volunteering at MPAC because “I try and make sure the patrons feel welcome the moment they come into the theatre. If it’s their first time, I want to make sure they remember what an amazing experience they had and come back.”

You may recognize Nora from volunteering at concessions. Nora’s all-time favorite artist to visit MPAC is Don Rickles and her dream MPAC performer is Sebastian Maniscalco. She’s been volunteering with MPAC for three and a half years and what she misses most about the Theatre are the “connections and friendships I’ve made with people I volunteer with. Oh and getting to see the shows :)”

Originally from Randolph, Margaret has been volunteering at MPAC for 4 years. She’s been enjoying Face-timing with family members while she’s been home. Margaret has made her favorite MPAC memories at our annual volunteer picnic and Christmas party. She misses “seeing her friends, fellow volunteers, and the theatre staff.”

Originally from Morristown, Kim started volunteering in September 2019. Her favorite MPAC performer so far is David Sedaris and her dream performer is Billy Joel. She misses MPAC’s managers and patrons the most!

Originally from Succasunna, John has spent the past 9 years volunteering at MPAC alongside his wife Pauline (who will also be featured soon!). His all-time favorite artist to visit MPAC is Rain. His favorite memory from his time at MPAC is when he “seated a family and Kenny G stood up and started playing right next to us.” John wants us to let our patrons know how much he misses you all!

Originally from Kinnelon, Katherine has spent the past 6 years volunteering with MPAC. As a lover of dancing herself, Katherine misses seeing many of the shows that feature dance at the theatre. Katherine says, “It is so much fun when some of my hometown friends bump into me & they realize I am a volunteer. Their first reaction is ‘How do you become a volunteer?’
