The Mayo Performing Arts Center is currently offering non-paying internships in various departments of their 1,300 seat Performing Arts Center, presenting over 160 performances throughout the year. Internships are available in: Development/Fundraising, Arts Education, Arts Management, House Management, Marketing/Public Relations and Production.
MPAC is seeking a full-time Operations Manager to assist the Operations Director with supervising and maintaining all aspects of the arts center’s facilities and grounds. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to maintenance and repairs, cleaning, landscaping, facility inspections, working with vendors, caterers, all aspects of event coordination, setup and execution, parking operations, house management and all front of house duties. Candidate will also be responsible for maintaining the facilities calendar, as well as fielding and coordinating, in collaboration with the programming and production departments, all details of the theatre and facility rental/guest attraction contracting and coordination.
Successful candidate must have a passion for the theatre’s mission, program innovation and dedication to excellence. Must be flexible to work days/evenings/weekends, or when needed, have a positive attitude and a willingness to assist with and coordinate projects for various departments. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required; ensuring the operations and front of house staff exceed all customer service and patron expectations. Administrative experience with knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs are also required. Experience with repairs and equipment maintenance preferred. Other duties necessary as required.

MPAC is seeking a part-time Assistant House Manager to supervise and implement all front-of-house activities. Position will include also cross-training in various departments and assisting those departments as needed. Shifts will be scheduled based on the theatre’s calendar of events and on an as needed basis at the discretion of the Operations Director. Shift times can vary, but most performance shifts will occur on nights and weekends, and some day time hours will be needed to assist in our school show performance operations.
All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.

MPAC is seeking a full-time janitorial and maintenance person to help maintain and clean a 1300 seat performing arts center and its grounds on a daily basis. Must be flexible to work days/evenings/weekends or when needed. Must be able to lift heavy boxes, and have knowledge of general facility maintenance and repairs. Other duties necessary as needed, assistance with parking and operations, such as running errands, etc.-must have a valid driver’s license.
