MPAC’s Ribbon Cutting Highlights!

September 30 2014

Around 100 invited guests celebrated the completion of our Main Lobby Building Project at a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, Sept. 29. September 29 was also the 20th anniversary of the first concert at the Theatre after it had saved by hundreds of local volunteers.

In addition to the ribbon cutting, attendees were treated to the debut of an original song, commissioned specifically for the event, by Tony-nominated composer Keith Herrmann. “It Feels Like Home” was performed by MPAC’s teen Performing Arts Company.

Over $2 million was raised for the Main Lobby Building Project, which consisted of a complete renovation of the front of the theatre, including a digital marquee, box office, expanded restrooms, an elevator, new bar and concessions and new lobby interior.
