Theatre of Light 2023

Theatre of Light 2023 took place on Sunday, November 12!

The symbol of light is significant in cultures from around the world.  Light is a symbol of hope, peace, unity, truth, joy, happiness and more.

The Theater of Light event is based on the best practices of Creative Placemaking that includes community engagement as the primary focus leading up to the culminating event, The Theatre of Light.

Our community engagement team facilitates workshops and provides a framework for engagement so that each group can take the theme of Light and make it their own.

The event will take place on the Vail Mansion Lawn and Plaza next door to Mayo Performing Arts Center. Through workshops, gatherings and creative partnerships the community comes together to create an evening of celebration, song and art.

Theater of Light is truly a celebration of community.  We believe that by engaging community in the process, the event takes on a deeper and more meaningful experience for participants and the community.

Theatre of Light is an opportunity to bring together our diverse community and to inspire engage and connect people from all backgrounds.

We believe in the power of the Arts and Creativity is a tool for creating cross- cultural collaborations that celebrate and embrace diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility for all.
