Box Office Information

ACCESSIBILITY

The Mayo Performing Arts Center is dedicated to ensuring that all of our patrons are able to enjoy the arts equally. If you have accessibility needs, questions, or concerns, please contact MPAC in advance of the performance you wish to attend and we will assist you in the best manner we have available. GETTING TO THE THEATRE:
Accessible Parking

  • MPAC does not own a parking facility. Accessible parking for MPAC is on-street. Arrangements have been made with the local parking authority to set aside a number of spaces in front of and adjacent to the theatre. Metered parking is marked for accessibility parking starting two (2) hours prior to the start of the performance and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.  Be advised that the meters are monitored and should be paid, if required.

Mass Transportation

  • The theatre is approximately 2 blocks from the NJ Transit Morristown train station.
  • Please visit http://www.njtransit.com/ and click on ‘Accessibility’ at the top to view NJ Transit’s ADA support.

LIMITED MOBILITY

TICKET PURCHASING
The Mayo Performing Arts Center Box Office staff is trained to assist you in acquiring seats that best meet your individual needs. Tickets for all Mayo Performing Arts Center events and performances can be purchased over the phone 973-539-8008, on-line, or in person at the box office. (For NJSO events please call their box office directly at 800-ALLEGRO)
Box Office hours are Monday – Saturday 10 am to 6 pm and 2 hours prior to the start of all performances (including Sundays).

  • When ordering a ticket for wheelchair seating or any other special circumstances, please advise our box office representatives of your needs at time of purchase so that we may best assist you.
  • The box office is fully accessible.
  • There are 10 wheelchair locations throughout the orchestra level. Some of the locations in the orchestra can assist 2 wheelchairs. Please specify section/price when calling for seats. Companion seating is available.

Note: Rows GCA, GCB, A and B are not available for certain performances due to stage configuration (check with box office). Click here to see the seating locations on our seating chart.

  • Persons who use wheelchairs and are able to transfer may request an aisle seat when purchasing tickets. Some seats are equipped with removable armrests.
  • MPAC does not provide wheelchairs.

THEATRE ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION:

  • The theatre is accessible by ramps and curb cut-ins.
  • The Main Lobby is all one level, and barrier-free.
  • Both the main lobby and balcony lobby restrooms include accessible stalls and fixtures.
  • Accessible water fountains are located by the merchandise counter.
  • Aisles on the orchestra level are barrier free.
  • The Balcony lobby is accessible via an elevator by door #4, to the right of the concessions stand. Please note that seating in the balcony is not wheelchair accessible.
  • Please remember to advise our box office of your wheelchair or other special needs prior to, or at the time of, purchasing your tickets so that we may best assist you.

BLIND OR LOW VISION

  • MPAC welcomes the use of trained service dogs. When ordering a ticket and will be accompanied by a service dog, please advise our box office representatives of your needs at time of purchase so that we may properly accommodate the size of your service dog, and best assist you.

THEATRE ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION:

  • Large print programs are available at the concessions counter in the Main Lobby.
  • Braille materials are available for most events with a minimum of two weeks notice.
  • Audio Described services are available at select performances.

  • When ordering a ticket for accessible seating or any other special circumstances, please advise our box office representatives of your needs at time of purchase so that we may best assist you.
  • We do not have a TTY number so we recommend using the 711 Relay service.

THEATRE ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION:

  • Assistive listening devices (ALDs) are available in the Box Office free of charge. We ask that you leave a driver’s license or other identification as a deposit.
  • Sign language interpreting and open-captioning available with a minimum of two weeks advance notice.
  • Advance copies of scripts or synopses are available with at minimum 1-week advance notice of the performance.
